We Pray (Summer Retreat 2025)

Fill our hearts with love

  • Week One, July 10, 2025: Receive our prayers Holy Spirit as we open our hearts to you during the next 34 days.  We step forward in confidence in the prayerful support of our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Move our hearts and minds to hear your voice while we take time each day to turn to you.  Amen.
  • Week Two, July 17, 2025: Lord, you call us into a cadence and rhythm each day to be with you.  We are inspired to write, to be intentional, to slow down, and to see how you are calling us to deeper awareness.  We turn our hearts to you.  Bless our week.  Amen.
  • Week Three, July 24, 2025: Father, you call our hearts in practical, physical, hopeful, and emotional ways.  You would not break our hearts, you are breaking them open; to healing, to urgency, to watching, and to reconciliation.  Receive our hearts this day and week.  Amen
  • Week Four, July 31, 2025:  Holy Spirit, you continue to call us as we open our hearts and schedules to you.  Thank you for hope that calls us forward, and for the times of just-right balance in our busy lives.  Thank you for connections to friends and insights that move and inspire us.  And we express opportunity to lean into every moment to find the best that you have intended for us.  Amen.
  • Week Five, August 7, 2025: Lord, you call us to encouragement, to entrust our hearts to you in holy indifference.  We trust in your providence and generosity, even through times of self-questioning and repulsive flight.  Receive our time and our hearts in this final week of retreat.  Show us your light and your peace.  Amen.
  • Week Six, August 14, 2025: Father, we complete this time with you in spending but 15 minutes per day in your holy presence.  Be with us as we venture forth now in prayer, presence, and service.  Continue to speak to us as we lift up our hearts to you.  Amen.

We Pray (From Winter Retreat 2025)

Come, Holy Spirit

  • Week One, January 2, 2025: We are each uniquely called to this group and to the one-on-one gentle presence of the Holy Spirit.  The "what" is clear, yet the "why" and "how" are to be revealed.  "Come Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with love and our minds with light and peace."  Amen.
  • Week Two, January 9, 2025: Holy Spirit, you promised to be with us until the end of time.  We come to you each day with open minds and hearts.  Your silence is inviting and challenging.  We present ourselves to you eager to hear, hoping to grow, and longing to know your will for us.  Amen.
  • Week Three, January 16, 2025: We are opening our hearts to you each day, making time, and creating space.  We sense your presence not only in our intentional time, yet throughout the day; calling, reminding, and inspiring.  Open our lives to you Holy Spirit, Amen.
  • Week Four, January 23, 2025: We are a people in the world tonight Lord; battling the fires, holding others' sorrows, traveling, and in service to others.  We speak of your presence in our lives and your continual call to transformation.  And in all of this, we offer gratitude. Amen.
  • Week Five, January 30, 2025:  How bold and courageous are we to offer you Lord our days.  And how faithful you are to enter that space we make available.  Open our hearts to your continued presence with new levels of consciousness and awareness.  May we honor you "without ceasing."  Amen.
  • Week Six, February 6, 2025:  We are sent.  Having walked individually and as a group for the past 34 days, we are now sent back to the world.  We are being perfected in patience, holiness, accountability, brokenness and an awareness of the Spirit ever present in our lives.  The sun sets and will rise again on days of transformation.  Amen

Relish. Request. Review. Repent. Resolve.
