"Let's take a SongWalk!"
Abstract:
We call God "Father" because we are in a filial relationship with Jesus. The Lord's Prayer is a calling to an ethic of life as sons and daughters of the Father. With Jesus, we unite our will to the Father's will in making goodness known in the present. This "55-word catechism," noted by Guardini, is a way of life. Join us in exploring how the six faith dynamics invite us to more fully embrace the radical call of this precious prayer.

Abstract:
"Our Father, who art in heaven." "Vocation" is implicitly inferred as we utter these words. We are called into filial relationship with the Father. At the same time, we recognize our relationship with one another as church. We are called to the Father who, as Pope Francis remarks, is so very close to us.

Abstract:
"Hallowed be Thy name." Oh, that the Father's name would be made holy. How would we recognize that if we ourselves are in a state of sin and division? Our "conversion," turning to lives of goodness, helps us realize our hallowedness, and thus, to see the holiness of the Father.

"Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven." Here, we are called to the "transformation" of ourselves and of the earth. Francis, Guardini, and the Catechism call us to turn toward the Father, to declare a radical yes as did Mary and to live a life of Beatitude.

Abstract:
In examining the last four petitions in the Lord's Prayer, we see the "providence" of the Father. He calls us to union in daily bread, to the creative freedom of forgiveness, to provide that same freedom to others in forgiveness, and to be delivered in order to orient our lives to goodness.

"For Thine is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory now and forever, Amen." We give our ascent to this ethic of living as sons and daughters of the Father in lives of "gratitude."

Where do we go from here as we wrap up Season IV? We've established principles of moral centeredness in Season I. We've explored the six faith dynamics of vocation, conversion, mission, transformation, providence, and gratitude in a secular context (Season II), as observed in the Mass (Season III), and in the "Lord's Prayer (Season IV).
Moving from principle to application, we are invited now to appreciate these principles expressed in the Catholic family (Season V) and in works of Apostolic Action (Season VI).
